Jeffrey H. Lapidus
Principal

Jeffrey Lapidus joins CPRG as a principal with over 30 years of diversified real estate expertise. Immediately prior to joining CPRG, Jeffrey was the Director of Acquisitions for Butters Real Estate Funds, LLC, a division of The Butters Group, a diversified full service real estate company, where he was responsible for private equity fund acquisitions and dispositions, including the identification and valuation of potential investments, financial and property level due diligence, monitoring of market trends as they relate to new acquisitions and potential dispositions, contract negotiation and enforcement, securing and negotiating financing, the drafting and negotiation of leases and vendor contracts, oversight of on-site engineers and other employees, review and analysis of property budgets and tenant operating expenses, and the resolution of tenant and other contract disputes.

Prior to joining Butters, Jeffrey was Vice President of Investments at CB Richard Ellis and Leasing and Investment Broker at The Codina Group (now Flagler). At Codina, Jeffrey worked on the sale of the former IBM campus in Boca Raton and the sale of the Fashion Mall in Plantation. Before moving to brokerage, Jeffrey was a real estate attorney at the Miami offices of Hughes Hubbard and Reed and Finley Kumble et al., where he represented developers, purchasers, sellers, and institutional lenders, including The Codina Group, Lincoln Property Company, The Travelers Insurance Company, and The Prudential Life Insurance Company, in all facets of complex commercial real estate transactions and financings.

Jeffrey earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his law degree from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of The Law Review. Jeffrey is a licensed salesperson and is a member of both the Florida and New York bars.
